While AI may seem complex, there are some resources designed to help older adults understand and use these tools.

This guide highlights some of the online AI classes available for older adults. Important Note: Avoid sharing personal information when using AI tools. Your data can be used to train their models. Always review their privacy policy and be cautious of what you upload and input in any tool.

The Amazon Echo Frames and Echo Spot use Alexa’s AI to enable hands-free voice assistance, personalized routines, smart home control, and real-time information through both open-ear audio and a visual smart display.



Apple Watch Series 11


The Apple Watch Series 11 uses AI-powered Apple Intelligence to deliver personalized workout coaching, analyze movement patterns, and provide smart health and safety insights in real time.


Amazon Echo Dot (with Alexa)


The Amazon Echo Dot uses Alexa’s AI to understand natural voice commands, provide personalized responses, automate daily routines, and help older adults manage reminders, music, and smart home controls hands-free.

4. AI for Seniors Course – Boise State University

5. Cyber-Seniors AI Classes & Video Series

Cyber-Seniors is a nonprofit organization that provides digital literacy training for older adults. They offer AI-focused classes and an educational videos covering AI basics.



6. Introduction to AI for Older Adults – AbilityNet Webinar

AbilityNet, a charity organization based in the United Kingdom, held a webinar for older adults in 2024 explaining the basics of AI.



Beyond taking AI classes, older adults can try free hands-on AI tools to see how they work in everyday situations. Memory Shots (Kodak & Happiness) – An AI tool designed to help dementia patients recreate old memories through AI-generated images. https://memory-shots.org/en Canva's Magic Media – A tool that allows users to create AI-generated images and images with simple prompts.
