For nearly two years, Elder Love USA has partnered with IEHP (Inland Empire Health Plan), the primary Medi-Cal provider for San Bernardino and Riverside counties, to provide vital personal care, homemaking, and respite services.
Last week, without warning, IEHP announced an immediate pause on new enrollments for almost all Community Support Services – including the services we provide.
This decision is DEVASTATING.
As a nonprofit, we operate with limited funding.
The fees from these services provide to IEHP make up a significant portion of our revenue.
This sudden pause is a severe financial blow, threatening our ability to keep providing care.
Many of our older adult clients will lose access to the essential care they depend on to stay safe, healthy, and independent in their own homes.
It also puts our dedicated caregivers at risk of losing their jobs, as they rely on our clients for their livelihood.
