Where to Get Help With VA Aid & Attendance Paperwork in California

Applying for VA Aid & Attendance benefits can feel overwhelming.
The paperwork can be complex, time-consuming, and filled with detailed requirements that can be difficult to navigate alone.
When handling the process on your own, you may find yourself sorting through lengthy forms, gathering extensive documentation, meeting strict deadlines, and trying to understand legal language that is not always clearly explained.
One small mistake or missing document can delay the process.
That is why Veterans Home Care created the VetAssist® Program.
What is VetAssist?
The VetAssist® Program helps eligible veterans and surviving spouses apply for a special Department of Veterans Affairs benefit known as Aid & Attendance. This benefit is a pension available to veterans who received an honorable or general discharge and served at least 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during a period of war, as well as qualifying surviving spouses.
You can ask Elder Love USA if you are eligible.
Veterans Home Care has been assisting veterans with VA applications since 2003.
Their team understands exactly what documentation the VA requires and helps guide families through the application process from start to finish.
With your permission, they also communicate directly with the VA and follow up on your behalf throughout the approval process.
One of the unique features of the VetAssist® Program is that care can begin shortly after the application is submitted, rather than waiting months for approval.
Elder Love USA is proud to partner with Veterans Home Care through the VetAssist® Program.
We can help with initial screenings, provide information about eligibility, and refer you directly to Veterans Home Care to begin the application process.
Once a VetAssist® Program application is submitted, Elder Love USA can begin providing home care services.
These may include assistance with bathing, dressing, medication reminders, companionship, meal preparation, transferring in and out of bed, personal care, respite care, laundry, light housekeeping, transportation where available, access to a medical alert system with Alexa technology, and referrals to additional community resources that improve quality of life.
For qualifying individuals, these services can begin without delay and without out-of-pocket costs, offering peace of mind and meaningful support when it matters most.
If you or a loved one is a veteran or surviving spouse in California and needs help navigating VA Aid & Attendance benefits, support is available and you do not have to go through the process alone.
